I didn't hate the new course as much as I thought I would. Never had a problem with congestion in previous races. I liked running through the streets in grangetown as this is where I grew up, so was feeling quite negative about the change and had said this'll be the last Cardiff half.
Only thing I didn't like about the dual carriageway was seeing the runners on the other side doing better than me
It didn't feel as flat as there's a few slopey bits, but all in all I did enjoy it so will be back next year. To be honest couldn't really fault anything.
Steve G - hard lines mate I just missed out at 3.00.31 so know how you feel. What do you think you need to do to get yourself inside 3 or faster, like 2.55ish?
More miles - I was building nicely, then had a 3 week period where it all went to pot . Then had to build up again. rarely hit 40+ miles over week. So the plan is to follow a plan and stick to it and hope other things don't get in the way again. And I should really join a club.
