Hi Graham thanks for the reply -which ankle support did you go for it?

I can cope with the sore soles but this burning pain on the inside of my ankle is driving me potty.

Due to having injuries over the past 7 years , PF sometimes Mortons I had to take 2 years off - got back to running in 2003 but very very low mileage 5 or  6 miles a week

I have tried custom made orthotics but never found the right ones that were comfy and did give me more pain

I currently suffer from slight pain in my soles - gets more painful if I stand up too long or increase mileage - I am 99% positive I just need to find the right trainers  / orthotics.

The Gt2100, 2110 & 2120 help alot to support my feet  - Had a go with Yoursole insoles which have been the first ones I have worn without that much pain only problem is I have to tighten my laces to stop my feet slipping at the back which makes the laces too tight really.

I ran 10 miles last week (1hr 34 mins) longest run for 7 years - had few niggly pains in my soles but amazingly the pain can virtually disappear after 4 or 5 miles and come back the next day.

The long run was a mental thing really.  My stamina was fine just my feet let me down.

Latest injury is a mystery.  On my inside of my lower ankle below the joint I get a burning pain which comes and goes - I get that if I walk it comes and goes.  Would love to know what that is.  I broke the same ankle nearly 3 years ago which took 18 months to get my strength back in it....this latest niggly injury is a real mystery - I'm concerned that if continue running it may turn really nasty.

I've not ran for a week but the pain is still there.  I've been icing, resting, supporting, stretching and using ibuprofen gel to try and heal it.  Had the same injury last summer which if I remember right just went on it's on.

Any ideas?

Yep recommended NB 854 but I found them too heavy.

Been running in Ascis GT2100 & 2110 which give me good support but are they really the right ones for me as I have read they are for mild over pronators? and I am severe

Any comments?
