My partner missed 3 weeks with her right knee, was right towards the end which meant her longest run was 18 miles, then she went to the physio who said it wasn't good news.
She spent the final 3 weeks with no real running, and at 19 miles on the FLM her knee gave up. She carried on but mainly walking so you will get round.
Good luck tomorrow, hope you get through it. All the training is worth it, just wish I was running again this year, the buzz is amazing. |

| Cor some interesting stories here not seen this topic before. I'm getting back into the running now. 3 stone over weight drink too much red wine and diet is not good. So I need to be inspired and this thread could help. Been out today 2.5 miles stopped a few times to walk but happy. My girlfriend ran the London marathon this year and like a typical bloke was dragged along by some of her friends to watch her. Saw her at 7 miles all euphoric and after all the pain she went through with the training I admit I cried through pride it was an amazing day and one I won't forget in a hurry. So my target is to run it next year and the training starts now. Wish me luck and thanks for sharing your experiences |
