20 miles done for me today. 66 miles for the week so happy with that. I did have a program to follow but that went by the way side after a few health problems. So now I'm simply trying to get as much running done as possible and get a 20 run in every weekend til the taper. We fly out to Paris on the Thursday before from Luton coming back on the Tuesday evening flight. I can't get enough of Paris to be honest and intend to keep busy all the time. I need to catch up with this thread as I like to see how everybody is getting along. Hopefully we are all progressing and can be optimistic about the race.
Evening everybody. I thought I'd join in the fun on this forum. this will be my 3rd Paris marathon and I'm hoping for a decent time but my training has so been hit and miss. I'm up to about 16 miles at the moment and managing to run too and from work for days a week, which is 4.5 miles each way. Today I've done a slow 12 with my partner who is running London. It's hard work running at her pace for 2 hrs but hopefully the time on feet is helping me. I'm hoping to get a 16 mile in tomorrow after work so it should get me over 20 miles for the day.
I'll have a read back later and see how your all going.
Cheers Stockholm . My registration is now complete.
How's everybody's training going? I'm following the runners world sub 3.15 program and managing to stick to it. I missed out on sub 3.15 last time by 72 seconds ,which hurt. I forgot the .2 bit when I got to 25 miles and thought i'd cracked it. This time I certainly won't but at the moment I'm not quite as fit as I was then but hopefully with a good month left I can get up there.
i'm also doing London 3 weeks later but doubt that'll be anything near that time as I need longer to recover.
we are traveling to Rome on the Wednesday evening and flying home Sunday evening. I don't intend to sit around resting either. Rome is far too beautiful not to see it all.
