| The MDS has always been popular as one of the first ultra desert runs and is always booked up in advance. If you check around there are plenty of other desert races based on the MDS blend, and actually works out a lot cheaper and lower race field. Probably the Agrabes is the most similar in distance held at the back end of the year in South Africa, I had it costed out at around just over the £2000 mark and include all flights. Last years event suffered with the rain there as well. |

The french site has been updated: apologise for google tranlator: The long stage of this 24th edition of the Marathon des Sables looks just history. This is the longest stage ever. A stage of 91 km, dotted with check-point or 6 riders find each time of water, doctors, and tents to rest. The riders left the bivouac is morning in two waves according to their classification, which allows an organization to avoid having too long to control the pack. The latter have been dubbed by the former, they have very few had the pleasure to observe since the beginning of the competition. The competition also may be history as El Aziz El Akad Aqrah Salameh and openly threaten the hegemony of Ahansal brothers on the run. This is undoubtedly the key stage of the competition, which should give us the name of the final winner, and possibly endorse the change of hierarchy found on the first two stages. The stage is in a rather mild climate and lush scenery astonishment, which is probably also history.. . Usually on Europsport at some unearthly hour in a few months time. The map route is on the site, seems to trail around some mountains onto some flat plane, pretty straight but under the circumstances a good job well done managing to change the route at this late stage, my money is still on the Ahansel team pulling through!! |
