An excellent race, I thoroughly enjoyed the scenery, it is not what I'm used to coming from North West London!
I never realised that the Finish would be different to where the Start was - I was bracing myself for the climb up to the Leisure Centre from the Town Square.
Thanks to all the marshalls / organisers of this race - I hope to do this again next year.
You don't need to be gutted about the distance - it was a first-time event and everyone appreciates the hard work put in! The important thing is that alot of money was raised and it was a fun event.
Looking forward to seeing the photos, they'll be a laugh to see!!!
Thanks to the organisers for a very enjoyable event! 5km is not a distance that I've run before, but my finish time of 19.21 told me that the course was less than 5km (I was hoping for 22 mins based on my 10k times) - and this was confirmed when a friends GPS showed 2.76 miles, 4.44km.
I'm looking forward to next year, I reckon that chap dressed as Superman really was the real deal - he was flying!!!!!!!!
I last ran the Wymondham 20 in 2004 - a very pleasant run through rural Norfolk! Well worth the drive from London. Now that I've entered London Marathon, the Wymondham 20 will be an important training run for me!
Has there been any changes to the course?
That tough left turn for the start of the second lap when you see the right turn home for the 10-milers is still fresh in my mind......
