good luck to you all (runners & organisers) I ran this in 2008 with a mate who is no longer with us, just remenising now of how scared we were but boy how we enjoyed it, remember the pain is only whilst the race is on but the memories last a lifetime. have a great weekend hope you all acheive your goals.

Hi michael,

sorry i should have made it clear, its the bottom that touches the ground, hence why whenever im on my feet i find im hurting, also when standing still i tend to have to lift my foot of the floor to ease the discomfort pain.

i have thought about buying some insoles but i am wearing a brand new pair of trainers that are cussioned not sure if the insoles would work any better.

thanks for your responce.

Hi

after training through the summer for an ultra i sustained an injury, 2 weeks before I was running hill reps and felt my left heel start to burn, i stopped immediately and walked back to the car.

i rested for 2 weeks then tried a 6 mile run, i had severe pain in my left heel on the base which feels like bruising.

now when i spend any time on my feet, work, walking the dog etc my heel gets very sore.

I tried cycling but the next morning  i was again in pain with my foot, it only feels bruised but it is very uncomfortable and has certainly stopped me running.

I dont have the resources to visit a sports injury clinic so im looking for help from the friends who read these pages.

i want to start London marathon training soon, having been rejected for the past 5 years so any help would be gratefully appreciated.
