Thanks for getting back. Well it's 5 each way over 3 days, 10 a day. Ideally I'd run to work but no shower the other end. Think I will try a few weeks doing it all and see perhaps .

Have read through other forum posts about this but can't find a definitive answer! I am running the Llanelli marathon next April. I am an experienced runner, times for 10k at 44 and HM at 145. I feel I fit in in between the basic RW training plans of 'get round first time' and 'intermediate'. I currently run around 24 miles over 3 sessions ( 13 mile long run) with commute to work on bike of about 30 miles pw. I am not sure which plan to go for but don't want to over train. I need to keep up the bike on some days , can I drop a mid week run as a cross train? I understand all the ' don't lose running mileage' stuff but feel I have a pretty good base. Any advice would be greatly appreciated . I'd also like to get close to 330 for the race!

Evening all

after todays very disappointing Rendeer run....no carol singers, no music........I was thinking of applying in person at the Merthyr Mawr 10km on the day.

Anyone applied on the day before? Should i bring along an application form to save time?

Any thoughts? The stream will no doubt be spectacular now!

thanks for that fiona and bat mouse! I have been beating myself up about it especially as my pre baby runs tended to keep me sane. i don't have that outlet any longer. And getting the time is sooo difficult. in the evenings i am knackered and half of the week my partner has his other children here, so early evening runs are out of the question. i have managed to do small runs on sat and sunday mornings straight after that first morning breast feed. have managed 25mins this week and felt so fabulous. i really wanted to go further but then remember that i need my energy for my daughter.
thanks for the support
happy running

thanks fiona
i managed a 10 minute jog around the block last week and felt pretty good about it and really refreshed.i will hopefully try a couple of jogs around the block this week and build up from there. my daughter is a very wakeful baby both day and night so its quite difficult to time it right. i am glad you got more energy when you decreased your breast feeding at 6 -7 months! thanks again
all the best diane
