| Scar runner did you do the LAMM? How'd you get on? We came 88th on C class, 4th female pair. Didn't run much though, slipping all over the place on wet rock and I felt nauseous every time I tried to eat on Sun untill towards the end. Managed a run down the footpath / track at the end though! |

Aye, they are good, that's the third i've done. I'm doing the Saunders in a couple of weeks which I'm hoping will be a bit more more runnable for me! First time doing that one, looking forward to having a civilised overnight camp rather than having the screens round the blokes slit trenches blow away during the night (nice view to wake up to!). Have you done any orienteering? Try a long O that'll give you an idea of what it's like without having to lug a pack round. |

I did the LAMM at the weekend. It was fantastic! Low cloud most of the time so navigation had to be spot on, but it cleared a bit towards the end of our run on Sun so we caught a glimpse of the amazing scenery (only really been up that way in winter before). Did C class which seems to have been a bit on the tough side, but quite pleased with how we did (88th and 4th female pair). Didn't even run that much of it, esp on Sun as I was having problems eating and there was a fair amount of rock around. Had a great last couple of km down the track to the finish, felt quite fresh at that point!! Helped out the bloke who split his head open on Sat, he was right in front of us when he did it and we helped bandage his head up before he sprinted past us down to the overnight camp! Gratitude eh?? |

I take sponge pudding too, and custard (though must admit it's the dried type not a carton of fresh stuff!). Nowt better than cake and custard to fill you up! I can't imagine carrying a bottle of wine round with me though - what size sack does he carry??? Only a month 'till the LAMM! I'm getting excited! |
