Thanks for the input so far, looks like Puerto del Carmen is a good base and looking at expedia and various others we ought to be able to get a package deal for about 200-300 quid each for the end of Jan.. Have spec'd out Ironman map, Garmin and Strava - looks like there are plenty of routes to keep us busy for the week. Apparently its the trade winds that make it so blowy, but at their worst May to October so we might get away with it.. |

Hi, my OH and I are thinking of taking a package hol out to lanza in Jan or Feb to try and get some cycle training in.... So, I'm looking for any pointers you might have on where might be a good locations to base ourself from, anyone who has done this before and might be able to recommend a good hotel or possible routes and anything else you can think of. Obviously there is club la Santa but we're hoping to keep the costs as low as we can. Would really appreciate any info anyone has..... Thxs |

Bert De Clos GREAT Britain - we all got behind it and it was good news every day! The good grace and syle and panache with which all the athletes behaved - a great inspiration |

Hi DoM I live in worthing too. The local tri club called Tuff Fitty and they are pretty friendly, they arrange swims in the sea, and also at southwater lake, generally they are done via their forum.. Additionally to that you can also swim on Thursdays and Sundays at Chichester lake, however there, they do charge a fiver, so I dont often bother when you can swim for free elsewhere. I happen to know also there is also a bit of a club expedition going out to Frankfurt next year also. |
