It would be stretching the truth to say yes. I just work on race day in enquiries pre race and I work on the finish line post race. BTR Liverpool have VIP facilities so I get to schmooze with dignitaries and invited guests which is nice but yesterday I was so busy I didn't even look up to acknowledge anyone never mind mixing with the guests!
I absolutely love it though. There is nowhere else I would rather be on race day. The arthritis is very advanced. I've apparently been suffering from it for decades. It's not because of running (so don't anyone be put off by that)!
I do need new knees but I'm keeping mobile with physio, exercise (mostly cycling) and a positive attitude. I'm 43. I'm not quite ready for the scrapheap just yet!
I do remember Dublin. It was my favourite ever marathon because you made it so special! I remember being at the breakfast run watching people riverdancing in a nightclub thinking 'well this is the most random it gets for 8am when you've just landed in a country'!!!
Everyone is well chez LB. The eldest mini is learning to DRIVE!!!
Hope you're well mummy. You'll always be the biggest influence on me running wise.
I bet they are slowkoala! We used to have Merseyside fire brigade come and hose us down at the tunnel 10k on hot days which was always a welcome sight to see!
I've been manning mile 17 at Mudchute under the RW banner for a long time now although this year I'm not going. It's going to feel very odd being at home instead of being on the Isle of Dogs!
I ran VLM in 2011 and hugely appreciated the support I got on course. I know Shades isn't a fan of London.
She likes Luton *cough*
Who has the balls to pull Shades off a course? ????????
Hello ????! Long time no see. Just thought I'd pop in and see how you're doing.
I've been working all day at the Liverpool half. I'm on the other side of the ropes these days.
Stage 4 arthritis has killed me as a runner. But I'll never forget how amazing this group was. ???
