Thanks guys for the feedback - I'm sorry if letting people know about the DVD has offended.
If you look back over this thread I have tried to answer many of the questions that have been put to me and every single person that has written to me over the course of the project I've replied to!
I've had some really good feedback about the extra feature on the DVD. It covers all aspects of the mistakes that I made with regards to over training, goal setting and injury but also what went well.
It also has some great advice from Bill Adcocks, Ron Hill, Keith Anderson and Bruce Tulloh on training that I think will benefit runners of all standards.
If you've got any questions I'll answer them on this forum over the next few days or contact me alex@alexvero.co.uk
Good luck to everyone running.
Alex

Hi Guys,
Hope that you enjoyed it... and had a good weekend running.
The extra features on the DVD will answer all of your questions about the documentary, training, motivation and decisions behind it.

Documentary on Channel 4 for the second time.
Just to let everyone know who missed the documentary 'Running to the Limits' the first time around it's going to be shown on Sunday morning (31st of January) 7:45 am on Channel 4.
The documentary won't be on 4OD this time around but will be out on DVD from the 15th of February. The DVD version includes loads of extra features, interviews, an extended version and a more in depth look at the training behind the documentary.

It's great to have a quick read through this forum and see what you all made of the documentary. I'm glad that the majority of you enjoyed it for what it was and I'm only sorry that a couple of you still feel upset for one reason or another.
I'd be more then happy to answer any questions that you might have about the documentary or the training.
To answer a couple that i've spotted.
I) I did run in the Paris Marathon (I tore a muscle in my hip at 10km and walked the second half of the race. This effectively ended the project and put me out for 5 weeks. I took part in the Prague marathon as a way just to finish in a satisfactory personal way. I had only run twice in between the races.
2) At the start of the documentary when i'm wearing the fluorescent yellow top I had not just jumped into the race...(that made me laugh). The red top that I was meant to have never turned up and the fluorescent top was all I had to run in.
The DVD will be out mid January and will go into far more detail about the training, include additional interviews and a coaching video with one of the worlds top coaches. The Channel 4 version was intended to appeal to an audience outside of running who would not be interested in details.
I look forward to hear from you all.
Alex
