Hee hee, I know, it's exhausting!!  But if that's what it takes!  (Sorry if too much info!)

Hi Yve,

I think we might have to give the ovulation kits a go.............although I'm not sure even they will help.  We have always tried the random method of having sex every 2-3 days method, but one month we had sex every single day and I still didn't get pregnant.  We've also done it every other day for a couple of months and no luck.

I know there has to be a balance between doing it too much (and hubbies little wrigglers being worn out!) and not doing it enough (and so missing ovulation), but I though sperm 'hung around' for 2-3 days, so find it hard to understand how I never get pregnant.

Becca - let us know if your Mum guesses!

Thanks for all the advice everyone!

Hi LizzyB,

That is really helpful.  I think I am a bit like you that I have subconsciously cut back on training and have consciously not raced......and like you feel like I have not achieved anything!

I have had blood tests to check I am ovulating, and I am, and at around the 'normal' time.  We do however keep up the sex all month long........so even if I was ovulating very late as you were.

I think I may need to try the ovulation kit idea though to see what I am doing every month.....the blood tests the clinic did that said I was ovulating may have just been a fluke?

Thanks again. You've given me hope!  And congratulations on your new arrival!

Hi Yve,

I'm not sure what a HyCoSy scan is?  But I have had a HSG (where they check if your tubes are blocked) and just a regular scan..............the results of all of which were fine.  They've also done blood tests, tested my husbands sperm etc etc.....all of which are fine.

Just wish it would happen as there is no medical reason why it shouldn't!  It's nice to hear stories of other people who have taken ages to conceive but then get there eventually!

Yes, I've heard a lot of people go for acupuncture, but I've never really been one to believe in 'those type of things'...........although I'm getting to the point where I'll try anything!

I've put off taking clomid for quite a while, but next month I'm going to start taking it - it is sat waiting in my cupboard at the moment!

I'm glad you managed naturally........this is my last month of trying that way! Fingers crossed (though not legs!! )
