Hello everybody, if you are raring to go but haven't a place, do consider running in support of The Cutty Sark Trust, which helps run a key part of the marathon course. Cutty Sark is the only surviving Tea Clipper left in the world and is of course in dry dock in Greenwich. We are faced with raising over £8m to embark on a major conservation programme to keep the ship intact - we are only asking for £800 sponsorship for now though!
The Cutty Sark are golden bond holders and have five guaranteed entries for the London Marathon. We would like to recruit 5 runners for our team. Runners would need to raise a minimum of £1,500, preferably more, as we have to raise £8million for the restoration of this icon of Maritime Greenwich and the world's only surviving Tea Clipper.
