Have a look at the cRUNch website - tells you which charities still have places and how much they like you to raise - you then apply thrpugh their web-site - I got a place with a charity in 2007 and needed to raise £1400 which seems to be the lower end of the scale - some ask for £2500!! Good luck - I'm still waiting - didnt bequeath so suess my rejection mag will be in tomorrow post!!

Ah yes Hill Training - problem is I live in London, flat as a pancake except for maybe Primrose Hill - which must be max 200m long. So the hills at NY are at the moment my biggest worry.

Afternoon Mike!

I have a couple of training programme questions...and I hope you dont mind me asking on this forum.

I used your marathon training forum for FLM last year which was great - and thanks again for the advice, but I cant find the forum link anymore.......

Going to NY with your company and have started on a combination of runners-world sub-45 schedule (for long and mid week runs) and Furman First (for tempo and intervals)

In August I'm off on holiday which will be initially OK for training, but then I have 2 weeks on the water island hopping.....

I have kind of programmed this into my schedule by starting at 18 weeks rather than 16, with 2 weeks (at week 8 amd 9) without a "schedule" and then picking up where I left off when we get home.

My plan for those weeks is to run whenever I get the opportunity but I have no idea on the minimum I would need to do - I dont want to drop fitness but I really dont want to upset the trip for the rest of the family either by running for hours

Do you think my re-hatched programme is OK? and have you any advice on the minimum I would need to do during those 2 weeks?

HELP!

Thanks A
