Will be doing my first 12 hour ultra in June

http://www.challenge-running.co.uk/cr24-12/

Any advice for how to prepare ? Im running two marathons in May, should I add miles on to these to make them long runs or just do the marathon ?

I have done a couple of 50 mile ultras in 9hours ish, what should I be aiming for in 12 hours ?

Thanks

The marathon is a two lap course all on road with a short stretch on a footpath. The first 5 miles are undulating as are miles 14 to 19, the rest is pan flat. It was my first marathon and is a great event.

Hi, I have ran this three times and each year you get a map book sent out in the post with the route marked on it, usually around mid december time.

The course is fairly easy to navigate, especially the last 20 miles along the canal.

Ran this event last year (NDW 50) fantastic event, really well supported and organised. Training is going well for me this year, cant wait to run this event again in August.

If anyone is reading this thread and hasnt made up their mind about entering, all I can say is go for it.
