Have had sports massage and he's been brilliant. I'm going to have my running assessed tomorrow and then going again on Thursday for massage. I'll see what they say and then go from there. My legs have felt slightly better this afternoon but still sore. Fingers crossed that in a few days they will be a lot better! Have been recommended lots of exercises to strengthen my calves, ankles etc so I'll keep doing those.

I have a problem in both legs (!) My left leg the pain is on the inside just above my ankle. Right leg its in the calf really. Haven't attempted to run on it since it started (a week ago) but I know it will hurt as I have slight pain when walking. Desperate to get this sorted out!! I hate having to rest but realise that if I have any chance of making the marathon, I have to. How did you sort your problems out?

Hi Quickquack. Unfortunately no advice but I read this because you are describing exactly what's happened to me. Have been to see someone, massage helped, but they hurt more know (even when I'm sitting I get the odd twinge). Am seriously fed up because I'm thinking the marathon may be out of my reach now. I will keep an eye on here as hoping someone will have some good advice for you (and me!!). Hope it sorts itself out.
