It's been a while since I posted here! And about ten years since I joined...yeesh, I should log on more often.
In the past I've been one of those 'on again, off again' runners (mostly off), and I need to change. I need to get out there and stay out there...I'll probably come back inside every now and again to eat and shower - the normal, boring things.
Another intro cos I doubt anyone remembers me :P
I'm a 31-year old Leeds lad – CAD Technician by day, horror writer by night. I've been reasonably active for the past year and a half organising and running events for a small group of writer friends –walking, hiking, caving, scrambling, canyoning, cliff diving, mountain climbing, swimming, and pot holing *phew* around Yorkshire and beyond! When you put it like that I sound like a regular adventurer (I'm not!) Also, Tough Mudder No. 8 this year! Hoorah!
I was back out plodding the streets yesterday on my first run in a long time. Felt good to be back at it. Managed a 5k in 32.42...which surprised me! Thought I'd be a lot slower. Obviously all that 'adventuring' is paying off Also those pesky zombies must have kept me on my toes, as I gave Zombies, Run! a go for the first time.
I'll probably be back to parkrun soon, there's a new one a lot nearer to me, so I don't have to trek all the way into the city centre.
