How did you all get on, I thought it was really tough and hated running around the Edgebaston Cricket ground (what was so good about running around an uneven car park. Also wasn't keen on the finish, hopefully will be business as usual next year (much better starting at sand pits and having the full length of Broad street to try and do a sprint finish.
Yes I agree with Tall-Paul, last hill is an total killer, I am going to keep some Jelly Beans back to neck at about 10.5 miles which will hopefully give me the boost I need. I under trained last year and managed 2.05, so I have a score to settle.. Good Luck everyone.
Not so good im afraid, it took ages to sort itself out (was offered a boot to take a bit of the pressure off, but choose not to have one - cant say if that was the right thing to do or not). Basically I had 13 weeks of no running at all and then when I started again I had to take it really easy (limped around for at least 8 weeks and going up and down stairs was a nightmare).
Did first 1/2 mara 19.10.2014 - which was fine, but due lack of training was much slower than norm.
Foot does feel fine now though, so hopefully no long lasting effects.
