I took part in this race yesterday. The 10k seemed very short..anyone measure the distance? (My time proves it was a very short course).

Chocolate Moose: I agree the organiser will charge what the market will bear. My post is to alert other runners that this is a very expensive event and there are other events which are much cheaper; and now I come to think of it, much more scenic too. This is a very boring course only good for PB's and spectators. I am fully aware that I have a choice in deciding to enter or not, thanks for pointing it out. Anyone thinking they will be running on the old Brooklands race track will be disappointed. I would recommend the Brooklands Museum if motor racing is your interest.

Because other events are more expensive doesn't make this one a bargain. Also, the other events require closing public roads which is very expensive, a barely used test track in a retail park doesn't warrant the cost for this race. People should know that there are cheaper events elsewhere.

The cost of this race is outrageous. How they can justify £16 for a 10k?. Other races cost £5 or £6 for this distance.
