I am about buy my first carbon bike, which I would want to put clip on tri bars on, and want to spend around £1200. I am thinking of a Jamis Xenith Comp 2012 down from £1600 to £1200 at Evans or a Boardman Team carbon about £1200. I can't decide which to go for; and are there any other out there to consider?
Tomorrow sees the first hill session of my marathon programme. I have a Garmin downloaded schedule, all of the other runs have detail around pace, but not for the hills. My programme says 9 X 2 minute hills...how hard should the uphill part be run at??!!! Any ideas are most welcome.
I am running the VLM and have a couple of half marathons planned. I have entered the Kingston Breakfast 16 miler 2 weeks before the marathon. My question is, I am planning to run this at my VLM planned pace to see how it feels over a longer distance than most of my tempo runs. Does this make sense or is it too close the main event? By the way my VLM target pace is 9m/m.
