And drinking a bean is much more normal! Each to their own of course, but I personally detest the stuff - yeuk!
I usually have a couple of pints after a run a Wednesday evening, but it ain't milk.
I do like a banana, chocolate, honey & whey protein milk shake after a longer run, and before a long soak in the tub.
I too was at the Centurion GP this morning. I changed into my trail shoes 5 mins before the start - a good decision I felt!
