Just popping in to say toddle pip. We are heading off to face incredible tail backs and extreme weather as we go camping in Kent for a week. I'm afraid I will have to maintain radio silence for the duration, so I thought I should:

In answer to the questions about the shabin. We own a rickety old cabin thing on the edge of a wood about half an hour away from where we live. We call it the shabin as it's more like a shed than a cabin. It has a bedroom, kitchen, sitting area, wind powered electricity but no running water or loo. There's a toilet block and water taps nearby - like camping. We bought it with friends last year and it's a great place to get away from it all as no TV, phone signal etc. However, since FC has arrived we have really been unable to use it. So I took the opportunity for a night in the woods toasting marshmallows over an open fire and watching the stars. It was very restorative! Well, that and the half bottle of wine I consumed!
Happy holidays Sluggy - I'm expecting a postcard and a tacky souvenir
Watch out Cornwall - the WAISTers are coming.....
I however am off to Ironbridge for a meeting today - what larks
Happy Wednesday one and all - hope it's a jolly one

OH and FC are away for 2 nights. I had a night in the Shabin (cross between a shed and a cabin) in the woods last night. It was very relaxing but a little bit spooky on my own. Back home tonight. Have music on and reading - bliss.
Off to Birmingham for a meeting tomorrow - that's Spence country isn't it???? eeek
Happy new week - hope the sin shines in a British summer kind of way - not in a far too hot to move Chuggy kind of way. Need to warn you the good weather will be ending soon - we go camping on 27th! Enjoy it whilst you can!
