Chuggs - you make me tired just reading about what you get up to
Thanks Podds - was indeed war time tunnels we had heard of. Can't do too much history as we have a marry teenager with us! All she wants on holiday is a cream tea and a phone signal!
Feels slightly cooler today - hoorah. Hope this helps your plodding Farty
I am working from home. I am managing the home bit - the working part is proving to be more of a struggle. I have so much to do I'm not sure where to start and keep getting distracted by things that aren't urgent.
Also had a lovely gift this morning - dead mouse in front room - you don't get that sort of device at a hotel. Nice to be home!?
Happy Wednesday - hope it's a breezy but sunny one
I am in the New Forest. I have seen ponies. I packed my running kit but went for a walk as it was too hot.
You need to google neti pot. That's why I have never actually used one!
We will be camping in your area Podds so you might want an umbrella! Or possibly full weatherproof clothing. We might do a day trip to Margate, the caves at Ramsgate, ice cream at Broadstairs. Any other recommendations?
Podds - if its sinuses - lots of people swear by a neti pot. I don't know lots of people but I am sure they're right.
Good cycling, walking, running, marshalling, concerted efforts etc - sorry to hear about iron men who didn't - happens to the best of them. I was DNS too. Lack of training, entering , of pretty much everything really.
Back at work for 3 days before heading off camping - hence the three day heatwave now - aaaarrrggghhh
Happy sunshiny new week full of promise and possibility
Whist I have been holidaying in Britain I was not camping and so I am not entirely sure that I can be blamed for the torrential rain and poor weather some of you experienced. However - just to warn you, next Thursday onwards for a week - you may want your wet weather gear......
Kittens with thumbs - what will they invent next? Can they open their own cans? Obviously not when they're ickle kittens, but when they're big enough to wrap their paws round a can opener.
Seems like it was a busy old week, end of term craziness, bosses on holiday, Mums to visit, pupils getting better, cats and young ones being rehomed, epic walks, sewing projects, entertaining the masses and taking photos of anything that moves.
FC had a tall ships experience which gave us 5 nights. (she had a great time) We did a spa break, which I wasn't looking forward to, but was a present. Still can't get over people wandering around in dressing gowns. Quite nice to have a bit of enforced down time. Then went to London. Went to see Funny Girl, which was good, but not as much as all the hype suggested.
