Well l really hope 2012 is the 22nd April as it's my husbands birthday. Just as it was when l ran my first London Marathon 22nd April 2007, it was the HOTTEST marathon , he had a GR8 day and l FINISHED safely xX I'm giving myself a year to get FITTER and run it again as l have had a knee op and had to defer my place this year to next year.
Just waiting for that all important email to complete my deferment !!

Well l had a right knee arthroscopy 2 weeks ago to fix two tears . Removed bandaging after 2 days and left gauze dressings on until the 3 keyhole..holes had healed. Have done the gentle exercises at home as suggested by hospital and will be seeing the physio next week at the hospital.

Today have been able to walk up the stairs as normal but coming down them is harder as the knee is a bit sore still, l will attempt to drive the car sometime over the weekend in the small turning l live in, as l need to get myself to the physio appointment next week. The knee pain has been bearable, my walking around has improved indoors and l am looking forward to getting back to NORMAL ie : working, walking and eventually JOGGING !!

Anyone out there with interesting notes on their recovery after an arthroscopy ?? l had to defer my London Marathon place untilo 2012......but hope to take part in a 10km event end of May ..is that realistic ??

Okay l can l can answer this one as l suffer from a really itchy throat mostly during the early hours of the morning. I use Riccola Herbal Lozenges Original flavour and have done for the last 4 years. I sometimes wake up pop a lozenge in and wait for it to soothe and then take it back out.

Try it and let me know if it works for you

I still feel very disappointed that places went so fast, l didn't even get a chance to log on !!! I phoned Royal Parks and asked them how many places were available she said 4500 and suggested l try and get a charity place !! OR try and win one of the 50 places up for grabs in the Daily Telegraph.....50 places eh that gives me an even better chance than 4500...me thinks not
