No still not right and considerably worse now, NHS for me was not a good route, I've now gone private and have seen a Sports and Exercise Medicine Doctor which is quite costly but I haven't got a choice as now I can't even walk properly, I did try and get a NHS referral to him as he has a clinic at a local hospital... that was at the beginning of December and I still haven't heard anything!
SEM Doctor sent me for some vascular tests (££££) and they were clear, then an MRI (££) he has found an inward bulging disc and some labral tears (tears are apparently quite normal) I have seen a Nuerologist through the NHS and he sent me for MRI and missed the disc, he has recommended another Neurologist who specialises in muscle issues and a Physio,
Although it has been expensive to see him I think it is money well spent as he has taken the time to discuss my case with other Consultants specialising in this field and this has reassured me not to give up.
Hope you get sorted, it's a long hard road but don't give up
NP, no running, can't walk too far neither, but I can cycle 37M in the wind and rain today.
Tek, not too much fun cycling today, weather was horrendous, a lot of runners just not prepared for it and were really suffering, donated my montane top to one lady (I had it spare in my pack) had to put it on for her as she couldn't figure out how to get it on, her mind just wasn't working. Hope our runners did OK.
Tthey called an ambulance back to pick up one fella who was in bits with the cold and that was only @14M point.
JD I think a few runners still ran the course that year, can't imagine how bad the weather would have to be to cancel it, considering the weather we have run it in
Good luck to you Manchester marathon runners, no need for wellies, it's dry down here for a change if a bit chilly, make sure you have some warm stuff that you can chuck before you start. I will be cycling around the course supporting if you see a sad looking cyclist on a scott mtn bike say hello.
Hope you don't get too wet USB, enjoy
Bad news NP, I'm sure you will come back stronger after some enforced cross training.
