1 year running and 6 inches off the waist, 2 stone lost, still got a bit of a gut though. It has taken time, patience, and a change in diet, no more junk food, and now i cant drink more than a couple of pints without getting drunk so the beer has had to be cut back! I recommend the running to almost anyone.
the chaffing gets less as time goes on, but i struggled emensely at first and tried it all, lycra shorts, vaseline, tracksuit, just found the shorts the best but they got me sooo hot and sweaty that i ended up with bacterial infection. Keep going with the shorts and vaseline until your shape changes and then try without again.
Keep going no matter what though it can be an excuse not to go, don't let it beat you!!
