Hi everyone, well back to the beginning for me - have downloaded my run/walk schedule and I plan to start very soon - am thinking boxing day (will get me out the house with the rellies staying LOL!)

Bubba is 7 months now, so despite my left hip being utterly rubbish, I have decided to just get going as I'm not convinced it's ever going to get back to normal.

Mykey - loved your comment about 'buggy bootcamp' - now that would be fun - however this is much more tame.  We're a load of mums who meet in a park with an instructor specially trained in postnatal fitness, then we get beasted - with bubs in the buggy! Bubs found it hilarious the other day when mummy was dying doing a press up/burpee combo!  Thanks for asking after hubby - he's fine and in this most recent job is actually in the country! (although during the week we're not in the same county - that would be far too 'normal' for us! )

Hope everyone well

x

Hello strangers!  Long time no see but I see some very familiar names!

Well it does make me chuckle that you lot are still 'beginners' you most certainly aren't! Marathons and halfs coming out of your ears!

Had a baby girl in May (yes hubby was actually around long enough to make that happen!) and I have just started going to 'buggy bootcamp' to get fit - but I find myself jealous watching runners out pounding the streets! Not that I could do a proper run yet my joints are still a bit too lax after pregnancy (interpret that as have a clunky hip and dodgy knees (moreso than usual)).  But I knew where to come to for inspiration .

Great to see so many familiar names, god knows how long it's been .  I never really got back to running fully after pinging my knee, could only do a couple of miles so got into 'bootcamps' instead.

Anyhoo I was having a look around on t'interweb and thought I'd pop in!  Hope you're all well and haven't got any serious injuries.

Jules x

Good luck to all the racers - some scary racing going on today!

Couple of weeks ago I woke up and had a real problem with all my joints, was so painful by the end of the day I couldn't lift anything and barely undress myself - because it was such a sudden thing decided it was viral.  So here we are now and although it's nothing like it was, I have good days and bad days so obviously have not run or done 'bootcamp'.......

My friend convinced me yesterday to come along to a class that he goes to - body conditioning pilates on a ball.....OMG!!!    I am sat here now having done it this morning......I now have aching joints and abs...legs.....back.......wow that was a hard class!  You can seriously feel it working LOL , but at least it was low impact .  Would highly recommend it if anyone wants to improve their core strength.

Pegg - wish I could run a mile at that speed!
