Great running everybody (four marathons Nattybow, brilliant!!!) and good luck to all for Sunday. Maybe see some of you at the start. (Hubcap Day, very funny Martin ). I ran the Banbridge 10k last week but I am lightly raced compared to the rest of you. Hoping for a nice steady run myself, so we'll see what happens.
For anyone considering the One World Run 10k in the Ormeau Park on Sunday, they are introducing chip timing this year.
Very well done one2e. Great report too. Finishing your first marathon, especially after just a few months of running is a real achievement. Negotiating the relay changeovers only adds to the challenge! I ran in the relay for the first time in eight years yesterday. It's definitely no substitute for doing the whole distance.
I saw Martin, Jason, HMM & Jim yesterday, reliable pacers as always. Belated congratulations to all on your London times as well.
Yes Martin, I realised it was you. Was in my own wee world until you said hello . Well done on the 20, you still looked quite fresh at that stage. Managed 13 miles myself that evening. Had a good run at TQ last week but gave all the races a miss this weekend past.
Good to see so many running well here. All the best for London NB, you'll have a great day I'm sure. One2e, that's a nice feeling to see the times coming down like that and good luck with the final 20 miler.
Well run in Omagh Leslie, Natalie and Gregory. As already mentioned, it was windy in places but not too bad overall. I scraped under 1:40 for a pb (thought my PB days were long gone ). Amazing what a wee bit of decent training can lead to.
By the way, the Larne results have all been revised down by 13 seconds from the original. Might make a difference to anyone who was borderline PB.
Great time there Andy. I haven't run at the Newry HM since 2011, but I got my PB there, so I would recommend it. Back then the course was mainly canal tow-path with a tough but short hill at half-way. It is tbc on the fixtures list and the entry form on the website is still for 2014, so I don't know what is happening this year.
Well done to all running at Larne, some good times recorded there. I managed to miss seeing almost all of you on the day, apart from Mags and Kenny. Had a good run myself, one of those days when everything went well for 1:42:38. Maybe see some of you in Omagh on Saturday.
