Well run in Omagh Leslie, Natalie and Gregory. As already mentioned, it was windy in places but not too bad overall. I scraped under 1:40 for a pb (thought my PB days were long gone ). Amazing what a wee bit of decent training can lead to.
By the way, the Larne results have all been revised down by 13 seconds from the original. Might make a difference to anyone who was borderline PB.
Great time there Andy. I haven't run at the Newry HM since 2011, but I got my PB there, so I would recommend it. Back then the course was mainly canal tow-path with a tough but short hill at half-way. It is tbc on the fixtures list and the entry form on the website is still for 2014, so I don't know what is happening this year.
Well done to all running at Larne, some good times recorded there. I managed to miss seeing almost all of you on the day, apart from Mags and Kenny. Had a good run myself, one of those days when everything went well for 1:42:38. Maybe see some of you in Omagh on Saturday.
One2e, enjoy the day if this is your first half marathon, you've got good mileage done already.
Martin, you are chalking up plenty of races, great stuff! I'm entered for Larne too and then Omagh, hoping for at least one decent run. With the good weather, it's hard to believe that Larne was snowed off two years ago.
Is the Newry marathon & half on this year? The website has not been updated since last year. I would not be running because I have the Walled City Marathon the following week, but I wouldn't like the event to disappear.
Gregory, I see you are mentioned in the paper for the 10k in Magherafelt. It looks a good race.
Good mileage there KB, all the best for Sunday. Not long now until Larne Half. Weather forecast looks a bit better. I managed 12 last Sunday, but hands were frozen at the end as the gloves were soaked.
I'm down for barcode scanning at the Waterworks so say hello if you're there. Eventually clocked up my 100th Waterworks parkrun the other week (it only took me 4 years ).
Good luck Gregory. I ran at Gosford 2 years ago, nothing too severe from what I remember, only a little over my standard 10k time. A few twists and turns in places, otherwise ok. Course details are here if you want, but course elevation usually looks scarier on screen than in real life.
