Leffe. Hmm a little too strong for my tastes buds, ah wait I don't have any... hmmmm 2 pints and I'm wasted on that stuff
Really productive meeting with the HR director, according to her from my lowly position in the company ( and I do work pretty much at the bottom) I've managed to impress several directors and the head honcho (about 400 people work for us) and all she hears everywhere she goes is good things. God knows what I did as I'm only doing my job each day but maybe getting a half decent degree and turning up on time means something (either that or they're screwed in my department with me leaving and it's a big fat ego stroking carrot, get it on paper I tell you ;) ).
Anyways looks like I have a very good chance of landing a job I want if I choose to apply for it.
Why can't they just give you a job and have done with it, no applications, no presentations, no interviews no team working exercices etc,,, I just want a job!
Bonjour, long time no speak but been hiding out in work, handing my notice in and filling in the odd application form and had one interview, so not too bad in all, I have a second interview next tuesday for that one but I'm pretty certain I don't want to be a recruitment consultant and all that goes with it in that sort of role! Sales ain't for me although the money would be pretty good in 12 months time.
Erm failing that I've done a grand total of 3 training sessions in three weeks since the nat champs. Lazy of what but I need to sort that out good and proper. I've gone from 6 days a week for 10 months solid most times twice a day to zip!! the breaks been good but now time to get fit again. Besides I've a HM to train for!
I handed my notice in at work and the HR director just found out yesterday and has asked for a meeting to discuss a career in the organisation and to see if she can help me find something that is coming up. It's cool to be wanted..... unless it's a bloo*y carrot to keep me in the crap job I'm doing now but I'm doing nothing without it written down on a piece of paper and signed
Have a good night all, I don't think an 8 mile run is much advised when you've not run for a while, but I'm alive to tell the tale, I'll do 5 miles in the morning
Some great racing but no dents in the nationals, oh well, least I had a blast.
came back and did some dragon boat racing for the first time today which was cool. My team of 7 guys and 9 girls whooped everyone else into submission and we won a trophy and 3 crates of beer! Yeah
The team of ruby players and surveyors were not happy all esp as all the girlies we're little heh It's all about the timing. I'd do it again next year but it is a long day out...
Back in the office on Monday but my notice will go in on Tuesday, Monday will be to obvious so I want to let my boss relax a little about it. Sad I know but I'm def out of the place in one months time...
Regarding work I'll take anything at the moment but career wise I want to use my degree and do either something analytical or involving development or project management.
I'm sure i'll find something but what's the rush, heck I could even do a masters or a PhD if I was that way inclined
