Hey guys and gals,

Unfortunately, I'm unable to do this marathon and was wondering if anyone would like to take my place or if they knew someone who would be interested.

Hopefully, I'll be ok to start marathon training in June for the Chester marathon which takes place on the 9th October.  Anybody interested in doing a marathon later in the year should seriously consider the Chester one, was featured in the top ten UK marathons in Runners World a while back.  The Organisers are great guys who have put their heart and souls into making it a good a race as possible.

 Cheers, Paul

Hi everyone,

Hope everyone's training is going well thus far.  A good friend of mine was hoping to do this marathon but left it too late before entering.  If anyone is unable to take part on May 8th for some unfortunate reason, please get in touch as I'll be happy to pay you in full for a transfer as per the official website regulations of course.

 Happy running peeps

 Paul

Hiya John, I've entered the Shakespeare one too.  Marathon training to start a week on Monday if I can shift this bloody cold that is!  Hoping to break the four hour barrier on what will be my third marathon.

I've noticed on the latest issue that Chester is no10 in the top 10 marathons to do this year in the UK.  Hopefully it can break the top five within the next couple of years

Hi All.

Was great to meet all of you who turned up at the bandstand this morning.  A nice gentle six miler was just the tonic.

I'm inbetween training for races at the moment.  I completed the Dartmoor Vale marathon down in Devon three weeks ago and the next marathon I'm doing isn't until May 11th - Rotary Shakespeare in Stratford Upon Avon.  Can anybody advise me to what sort of mileage I should be doing for the time being?  I'm thinking bout doing the Helsby Half in January and training for the marathon I was doing 35-40 miles a week which was usually made up of four runs.

This is Paul by the way who was wearing the black cap.  Looking forward to the next get together in December
