Thirsk - Sub 35 would be a dream. I have hit 35:25 (+/-3 sec) twice this year so this training plan is to drive my short distance times down which lag behind my endurance capabilities.
I weigh 163lb at the moment (74kg) but want to be under 70kg by VLM 15. Ive started using MyFitnessPal App to help me keep count as it is very easy to graze and maintain even running long miles.
My reps this AM were hard. 2:31, 2:35, 2:39, 2:42, 2:44 = 2:38 ave. Onwards and upwards... rest day tomorrow. I am enjoying the challenge of these short sharp sessions. This was probably the hardest 13 min of running i've ever done. I am perhaps a little unfit for the paces but they are my paces pre-Berlin so i shouldn't be miles off.
It goes to show how we focus or develop towards a specific area.
From an employment/job perspective they can do what they like (not match fit being one reason not to take him on).
From a PR perspective taking on an unrepentant convicted rapist is not good PR for any company and from that point of view I would be hesitant. Remember rightly or wrongly this kid is meant to be a role model to others being in the public eye.
I will add that he would not be the first public figure to go back into high profile jobs, just check out the House of Lords roll of honour!
Thirsk et al - I look forward to seeing anyone else at Leeds.
Stuart Little 2 / CW - thank you very much i'll have a read. I love the stories even if I never decide to do it.
Wednesday went quite well (3 x 2 miles ave 11:44 - 5:52 with some into wind) and today is 5 x 800m @ 2:30 (3k pace). It's quite tough this programme but it's a different kind of tired, very different to marathon training.
I entered Flying Fox 10 on 2 Nov as I forgot I am in Staffordshire which should make my next 10 mile @ 10k plus 20s (6:00) go a little more easily.
Good luck Frankfurters and other runners and hope you like the watch Jools! Is anyone Great South Running? I hope to support from just after the mile 5 roundabout (my house) so have fun!
