Day Nurse (night nurse's slower sister)
Posted: 16/04/07 23:46:15 15
hi all,
great weekend-
I think everyone that finished- no matter of time, deserves a huge pat on the back
I almost backed out at 8.44 sunday morning- honestly!! The thought of running in that heat filled me with dread. I never run on hot days!! was persuade by NN and hubbie to "get on with it " seeing as I had come all that way.
soooo... took watch off, put it in my pocket, went to the back of my pen and set off and took as long as I needed to complete the course- enjoyed it (in a hot and painful sort of way) as put no pressure on myself, had no idea of what pace I was doing, and didnt have a clue as too how long I had been out there until the 4.30 balloons past me at about mile 22-23. Didnt find out until 3pm when i checked on website that i had done 4.41 (and a few seconds)- 20 mins slower than my pb- but hey I finished-
arent we all mad?
