I have been diagnosed with severe groin strain with no running for 12 weeks to let it heal properly. I've stupidly carried on running and made it worse. I've been told I can cycle and row to keep up my cardio, but can I jump rope or will this make it worse? I find skipping is a great workout for speed.
Running quite normally felt like laces too tight. Stopped and walked. Did the usual Rice and stopped running. Was walking tripped up and heard the crack. Was in severe pain for 3 weeks. Had lots of physio over Xmas/NY and started to take it really steady. Kinda upped my mileage over Jan in a panic for London. It was when I did a half marathon when I started feeling discomfort.
Stress fracture in Nov 2013 healed ok but its still sore and feels very tender when I run. Any one know how long this feeling lasts before I start to feel I can run normal again. Daren't push it too much but want to continue Marathon training. Also I'm in my late 50's if that makes a difference.
I did a 10k race on Monday night. Had a great time, went home happy, woke up the next day with bruising under my eye. I hadn't been drinking or fighting. Its been a week now and its still the same, its not faded or anything. Its not painful no broken veins just a red/black mark not even any swelling. Has anyone else had this what is it ??
