I got some new trainers at beginning of the week. My trusty asics 2160 had well and truly done their time ! I'm currently in training for London Marathon, so the long runs are well and truly kicking in.
I had my gait etc done ... I have a 'normal' arch, I heel strike, and only verg slightly over pronate, so could have a mild support shoe or a neutral.
I ended up with the brooks ravenna 6, (I've always had asics) I went for a short run and they seemed ok. I done my long run of 15 miles today and felt uncomfortable in my shoes, but it was not a good run today, but my heels were really hurting. So my question is is this just from long run niggles or my new trainers ? Do I go back to the shop, or wait and see until I have worn them in a bit more and I'm sure its not that I need to get use to them ? I must say the pain I have been getting in my hips didn't happen today
any advice ? Will a shop take back used trainers ?
