I did the 2nd one, ran it as a 30 minute pacer. Unfortunately I think somebody has been a bit too adventurous setting up Palm Bay and Pegwell Bay only a couple of weeks apart. The run I did at Palm Bay they had about 70 runners but the next week when Pegwell Bay was on it got over 80 but Palm Bay dropped back to 35 which is pretty dispiriting for the Director. They should have given Palm Bay 3-6 months to bed down before starting Pegwell Bay, they are physically too close to each other. Whitstable has felt virtually no falling off at all now the others are there, we get about 140 every week now. Cinders, don't worry about speed, a great many folk do it in about 30-40 mins, so as Sharon said, you would be fine. I enjoy the Park Runs because it is my only chance to run at "speed". |

OH DEAR OH DEAR! Has anybody else been following the debacle of the Great North Marathon? A field of 5,000 and only the winner ran the correct course as nobody thought to put a marshal at a critical junction a few hundred metres from the end and everybody else went the wrong way and ran just over 200 metres short of the full distance. It does make you wonder though, doesn't it, that if a small club like ours can get it right how could the organisers of an event like that manage to mess it up in such big style. I wonder if any TRACcies were running it. |

Go for it TT. Unfortunately I am not around tomorrow or next Saturday, but the next few after that I will probably volunteer to help at Palm Bay. |

| Tough, did it a few seconds faster than last year but the 6th km off road was very mucky so I ended up clocking a time of just under 60 mins. |
