Allo allo!  Browsing around my faves and realised I hadn't been here for ages - so good to catch up and see what you're up to Al - as well as the bionic Kate, BV and others!   Can't believe you're ready to train for another marathon.  I'm still not planning to do another this year or next year.

Al - looking forward to hearing how your duathlon training is going - i.e. get on yer bike!   I'm liking tri quite a lot at the moment - this is my second year, and did Windsor a few weeks ago which was OK - but largely due to marathon training, I only had 8 weeks to train for it ie. bike and swim - the run, of course, was OK!  That was Olympic distance, and just doing 1 more sprint this year down at Hever Castle which I did last year.  Anyway, enough of tri - I'll probably be evicted or something!   Maybe reading more about what people are up to running might help me love it a bit more again!

Kiwi K - you're doing the Olympic at London right?  I only started this lark last year, and did 2 sprints in the run up to London which was the focus.  If you do an Oly before London it's going to take some of the shine off London as the first big one isn't it?

Thames, just found this thread - keep it up - there'll be loads of people lurking and reading!

I've been reading because I'm in my normal post-race 'don't want to be at work, want to race again' mode.  Did Windsor Oly at the weekend (just 2nd Oly) and though I was pretty slow (1000th out of 1500!), now itching to do something about the flipping swim finally.  I reckon a breast stroker overtook me at one point (35 mins!).

Did London last year as my first Oly so really looking forward to reading about your journey there - and chipping in occasionally!

BV - I know, was thinking yesterday that it was only a week ago and seemed like months ago.  Had a nasty shock on the scales on Friday so have had very sharp nudge in terms of shifting ingoing cals from carbs to protein!   Haven't run yet since marathon but been doing plenty of cycling as am supposed to be doing a tri in 6 weeks....less said about swimming the better.

I think back to running next weekend, and yes, I do feel a little anxious about that - but keep telling myself that it's a completely irrational feeling!
