Look at it from their point of view....more people that can apply, more chance of people bequaething (sp??) their entry in the vain hope this increases the chance of getting in, more money raised, better press story about the amount VM raise by organising it. More about buisness then the few runners who can get in.

Brilliant. He's obviously a good runner to get into Boston in the first place so I doubt on this occasion his time mattered that much. I think that beats running in some kind of fancy dress to get noticed.
If people want to pay £35 for a 10k that's up to them, but for me personally i live in Hampshire and by the time you take into account travel, accommodation and food etc, Budapest would be my preferred option if i was going to spend that kind of money.
