Agree with frc. I think its not only the time but how you feel at the end yes it's a race but at the end how would you feel if I said right go and do that again but you can have an extra 20 minutes for that one
Ikle. In the same way I think its a good plan. With your ultra running endurance is good for you a negative split would be good. Get to half way in 2.0? and then decide.

15 miles this morning in 2.15 for me hilly/windy and more than I should but never mind. 3 x niggles all held up so happy with that, Hope to have a crack at sub 4 in Greece but we will see. Its good to be back on the thread
Shedboy- Listen to your body. Assuming you are a boy we are awful at doing the right thing pace on long runs/running when injured etc etc the ladies are so much better. The reality is its better to get to the start healthy than not? You loose 2% fitness each week you don't run its not a lot
