I've had the 305 for a while now and it has been very reliable. Don't think of them as watches more as small computers and mine did 'hang' once. You reset them and they are fine. For my advancing years the 305 is good because it has a larger screen than the newer models. You could get the 205 without the heart monitor which was good value if you did not want the extra gizmo but I'm not sure if they still sell that model.
Well organised race with plenty of on course support. Good drink stations and good marshalls. I liked the drums in the industrial estate that was a nice touch.
As I'm one of the slow runners where every dent in the road is a hill I felt it was a bit undulating for the first couple of miles and I was dreading the last few hundred yards to the finish line. However the hill at six miles on the A road seemed easy and I did not notice the final hill to the finish line.
I enjoyed it and a big thanks to Stroud A.C. for organising such a good event.
Except for the late delivery of the race packs and them running out of t shirts f the right size, I ordered large and got extra small, the day itself was well organised.
Plenty of drink stations well manned by the army cadets who were excellent.
I don't think I have much to complain about except my time and that's my fault!
