Listened to the first half of the Bill Adcock's interview not the second yet but I was telling John B he is my type of runner. No nonsense just get on with it. Train hard race easy type of thing. Without guessing his weight I'm guessing it's ridiculously light. I'm still 19% body fat. Being a short arse doesn't help even if I am towering over JB
Mine is MP + 10% Wenty, but the sole aim is to get through unscathed and recover as quickly as possible. If that means coming in slower then that's no problem.
I am only 1 1/2 lb's of my target race weight which is a big plus for me as it is something I struggle with since the middle of jan I must have dropped over a stone which is a stone I won't have to lug around 26.2 miles
Flatboy that weather report looks perfect to me. 2 mph breeze?? Yes please!!
We too are staying close to the start so with any luck we may bump into some forumites. Flat boy is the man with the details of our hotel. Be good to meet up post race for some "refreshments" purely in the recovery sense you understand!
Nice session Banksy. I always write my five mile splits on my hands in big marker so it's easy to see and also split my watch every mile which seems to make me concentrate on mile to mile rather than the total distance I've found this has helped massively psychologically. Splitting 42 times may be a bit distracting tho. I'm still unsure whether to run in k's or miles and just go off average pace.
