Just a quick i/p on great north run all runners are lined up in numerical order on predicted finish times so very slow people are at the rear and take about 15 mins to get to the start line. It tends to be jog/ stop/ walk until can jog again in the crush so unless you want to win it treat it as a "fun" run,.
Not running myself but with the turn of the year have got my walking shoes on for walk training for later this year. Forgot how hard it can be after a few weeks lay off just managed 12.8 miles over the hills and roads on last outing every thing hurts feet / knees / back. I was carrying a medium size rucksack with weight to get used to it again. Just have a few months attempting to get walking fit for later this year. Good news is Scott has got three months leave from his work so we will be meeting up for the last couple of months.
Flying solo this week Mrs is looking after her sister after her Opp and will be away for about a week so a very quiet house at the moment. Off for another walk to day and will end up at Scotts house for some liquid refreshment when he gets in.
