Thanks everyone about the porridge.

That's the point though, I don't feel comfortable running having consumed solids, that's why I have have always run empty. I just thought that a high energy smoothie would be the answer instead of a cuppa tea in the morning.

However, I have just found some recipes for energy smoothies in guess where? why "Runners World" of course. Printing them off as I type.

Regards

Phil

Hi,

I tend to run my races 10k, 8 miles, 10 miles, etc. Without having eaten anything beforehand not breakfast, nothing except a cup of tea. I ran The Great South on Sunday in 1hour 32 mins and at 63 years old was quite pleased. I now realise after all thes years I'm running on empty. Any suggestions for an energy somoothie I can take a couple of hours before the off?

Regards

Phil
