Hello All

I try to be a sensible runner and stretch before and after my runs.

Ignoring the 'do you need to stretch at all' debate for now, I find my pre-run stretching routine is fine but my post run routine (which is the same)does not help me avoid the aches/pains & stiffness you get later in the day.

Am I missing a trick or two here and where can I get/download instruction on the best stretches to use?

Currently my routine is hamstring stretch, calf stretch and various upper torso stretches - all held for 30 seconds.

Any advice happily received!

Hi All

I am looking for a running partner/group in Woking area to train for 2012 London Marathon as I will eb training on my tod otherwise. I  am looking to run 4-4.30hr time and already run albeit irregularly.

I have run thee half marathons in the past. The last being July 2010, but never further than this.

If I don't hear back - Good luck everyone!

This is my first marathon and I am looking forward to it and terrified in equal measure!

I have downloaded a training program from Runnersworld for the 16 weeks prior to the run. You guys have any pros or cons/advice on following these?
