I had an athroscopy on my knee for a torn cartilage on 22nd April. No swelling or pain so after 6 weeks I gave it a go but found it hard going.
Went to see a physio who advised me to do some excersises to strenthen my upper leg. Been running slowly now for a couple of weeks. Ran with my club on Tuesday for the first time in a year - about 6 mile in1 hour 15 mins. A little sore but not too bad. I have a marathon planned for October so I hope my progress continues.
I am a 56 year old man.
A younger person my recover a little bit quicker but its best not to rush things...
