No race details here yet... so  has anyone got any tips for parking .. and the cost ?

Looks like I will have to pick up my number  ( from the ballroom or the Norbreck castle ? ).I am travelling from  Yorkshire on race morning , so dont want  to waste the trip by  turning up late/ not able to park/ get my number etc

Without an email address or website  it is difficult to  get any info

Appreciate any advice from those with experience of this event .

only decided to do this last Sunday  after reading all the previous postings.

I was unsure about the chip / number  pick up on the morning  but there was absolutely no need it worked like clockwork! I enjoyed the race , it certainly is well organised  , some of the scenery is beautiful with the autumn colours in the park. Great marshalls , nice atmosphere , LOVE the t shirt . I definitely will be back . I am NOT a speedster  but I took 7 minutes off my PB from 2 weeks ago !

What annoys me is runners that have no idea of pacing themselves and so keep stopping in front of you and then a minute later overtake you.  Thankfully I wasn't struggling yesterday but if you are the last thing you want to see is someone regularly stopping and tempting you to do the same.

One woman in particular with a straw in her mouth did it a few times.  I wouldn't have minded so much if she'd let me beat her but the last I saw of her was her disappearing in the distance so she was obviously a very good runner so what was all the stopping about?

runlozrun, We runners who apparently annoy you , actually have a perfect idea of how to pace ourselves .Take a look at this http://www.jeffgalloway.com/training/walk_breaks.html .There is a structure , it is not random stopping. I always look for other runners and move out of the way before stopping !But this is why some of them ( not me, I am not as speedy as you ) will overtake you and disappear into the distance like straw lady. One of my friends qualified for the Boston Marathon doing this type of programme .
