Had a great run, really enjoyed it and was happy with my time (just wanted to be under hour).....but....the time on the web page is giving me a minute slower than my Garmin (which registered 6.22 mile run).  I didn't hear the starter (was at the back) but did press start as soon as I saw people ahead moving.  A bit confused ....

Yeah I love the Cabbage Patch - it's where I pb'd last year, and the start is very close to home.  Definitely a  a fav of mine (as are the G&T's!)

Funny I was just thinking today of seeing if there was an injured and totally depressed thread - and here it is.

My story - had a storming 2008, pb-ing in half marathon, 10K and 10 miles.  Thought 2009 would be even better!  However, I stubbed my R 4th toe really badly in February (not running related) and had 3 months off.  Came back in June and have been building up really slowly since.  However, I upped the work rate (but not dramatically) a few weeks ago and since then have been having L ankle problems.  My head's been in the sand a little, but finally booked to see the fizz on Thursday and decided not to run again until then.  Really hoping I can do the Cabbage Patch 10 in October, but now wondering if I will make it.  Even if I do, I reckon it will be a 'get round' only.

 I'm feeling pretty blue

This is exactly my symptons, although the ache can be either the outside or inside of the knee.  Definitely worst if I can't fully stretch my leg out so the movie goers description is perfect.  Had it for years (literally - ie >20).  it put my off sports eg skiing and running for a long time and saw all manner of health care practitioners who couldn't diagnose anything.  I finally gave up and now just do what I want to do.  It never gets better (whatever I do - rest or run) but the same time it never gets worse, so I figure it's just part of me.
