peroneal tendonopathy !! its a nasty little injury. rest for at least 4 weeks and go and see another pod, one that is a specialist in sports injuries. You may not have the right orthoses. Failing that it could have just been bad luck developing the achilles and have nothing to do with the orthoses?
HI MaDoks i know a fantastic specialist podiatrist in runcorn cheshire, i was up there a few weeks ago having my orthoses fitted and he mentioned they are currently offerring free 1/2 hour consultations on 2 saturdays in August (Mostly for club runners -promotions) It may just be worth a trip upto them to find out what it is.
Hi Guy's i run for a running club in cheshire, there is a sports injury clinic www.premierphysio.com which is offerring free sports podiatry assessments in july as an incentive to club runners but i also believe anyone!!! i went down last night for my free assess and it was fab, no catches!!
all i done was ring the clinic and book in. I thought some people on here may find it useful?
premier physio - runcorn- very professional practice dealing with sports injuries- has sports physio, specialist sports podiatrist (excellent orthotics).
I DO agree with what you say in terms of finding a good podiatristt. i saw a guy in runcorn and he was fantastic. his advice and diagnosis was spot on and the orthotics have been awsome. its like any profession. you get the good and the bad.
