7.5 miles yesterday as the last of my sunday runs are over (except 1).
My pace is still not good,I try and run slower than my race pace but end up running 50 seconds a mile quicker.
I really hope that I can manage to control myself on Sunday and not go of too fast.
Hope your all well and looking forward to it after all our training.

Hi All

Felt really really guilty today, as it's my birthday and have had to take in the cakes for all.
I have have had a couple of fresh cream buns..emmm
I am going to have to run a few extra tonight though.
I have just looked on the Edinburgh Marathon site at the F.A.Q and i'm gutted
to find out that under Scottish Athletics, you cannot wear an MP3 player.

I have done all my training with my Asics app and my music, and I have have looked at last years videos and have seen people wearing them???

Is anyone else planning to wear them?

P.S
I know that they are not in the spirit of things but my music will help me I think.

Hi All
Not long now!!
Im love the tapering part of the training, its nice to wake up and know I have only a 7.5 mile on a Sunday morning.
My time has really gone out of the window as such, Im just going to concentrate on completion as apposed to time.

The reunion area sounds pretty good, does anyone know if there is anything on for the kids (.Bouncy castles ect?)

Miggito.
Are you binge eating lol.
Have one for me .

Sorry to hear of your injuries guys, fingers crossed you will be ok in two weeks.
Thanks for the message Hillheader, I wimped out on the 20 miles today as I overdone it in the garden yesterday (Painting the decking and fences).

I still went out though and did a very comfortable 10 miles in 1 hr 36 which is extremely good for me.
I started of to quick and just kept to that pace 1 minute a mile quicker than race pace.
Feel good though, away golfing tomorrow and then get another 10 on Sunday.

Hi All

My pack arrived today so no turning back.
Contained 1. Race number
2. Energy Tablets.
4. Safety Pins.
I'm in the Gold pen at the start, was a bit worried at first because I thought the Gold would be for the elite athletes but it must be for sub 5hr.

Going to do a 20 mile run tomorrow as i missed it last weekend, and then back to the schedule.
Am I getting nervous? Yes....
