Agree, 20 miles is too low.
If I start now, say 15-20 per week for 2 weeks then increase it by 1 mile for every session?
If I do 20 miles for two weeks, if I run 4 times per week, then the following week do 24 miles and so on?
Is this right?
Hi TrailRunner22 , can I call you Trail for short?
I'm not sure that mixing Gels would be good for my stomach to be honest.
The thing is, last year at Chester I ran with 4 SIS Gels ( Not enough IMO) and mixed the High 5 Gel, and made my stomach a bit funny.
I do not want to look like a fully decorated Christmas tree like some people who even have Gels attached at the ankle.
I'm glad you weren't caught out with the measurement, gosh imagine that!
Why were the toilets so bad? not enough?
TrailRunner22 was on about the markers, very odd.
But saying that, I wouldn't mind seeing 21 miles then 200 yards after seeing the 22 mile marker
I will try something new.
as for my runs, I managed 5 long runs 13.1 up to 20.
But looking at them on Garmin just now, I really didn't train hard enough in my opinion.
I was running 3 times per week, and the average was say 20 miles. ( Some weeks)
