Me again.

On a really budget at the moment  so haven't seen a physio

a month the marathon I'm still not able to run. Had to chase after my nephew yesterday (ran into the road!) and all the aches & pains we're there

just whinging & feeling sorry for myself

I know some people have real problems

Hi I suppose that's what I'm asking - do I visit a physio

I had a recovery sports massage a few days after VLM - I assume that's different to a deep tissue massage ?

my running partner did his marathon on Monday - 30 mins quicker & walked to school this morning & muttered he was aching a bit.

Im still feeling "it" going downstairs & when I first get up In the morning

Oddly during our training I always recovered better after our LSR's.

ta for your thoughts

Hi - would appreciate your wisdom

during the taper my quads & left calf were sore. I found all the taper runs uncomfortable.  Training had I thought gone really well.  I did manage to pick up a blister on each big toe about a week before on a run (plasters slipped causing envitable friction.

from mile 1 of the marathon it was painful.  I struggled from the beginning til the end. ran 30 mins slower than I'd trained for & really dug deep To finish under 5 hours

the days after the marathon I could barely walk.

Anyway I am still experiencing same problem. Tried 3 mile veryyyy slow run on Saturday & it was awful. In fact going down A steep hill today was uncomfortable on the quads especially

any ideas ?

Keen to get back out running

thanks

Well done everyone !

i marshalled very early on & although I sort of know MK found it difficult to find my way around to follow & support my friend. Must of been some lonely bits ... I thought you were all awesome.

I have one complaint - at mile 15 runners were squeezing past people out for a walk. Letting kids bounce balls in front of runners. One guy nearly fell over a kid on a scooter. Etc etc Then to top it all 3 sweaty guys had obviously been out running & walked astride the redway blocking the way for the runners behind. Total idiots !!

well done to all.
