Arrived in plenty of time. Car park marshalls left a lot to be desired. Not much signage either but we managed to locate registration. My name wasnt down for some but they sorted it quickly. Strange finger chip and no number, they just write it on your hand! Managed to lose my chip.......
Safety briefing and instructions given , head torches adjusted and we were off. It was a peculiar sight seeing all these glowing lights heading off into the distance. My friend , her daughter and I were all staying together. It was quite a hilly course in places and muddy which you normally were warned about by the squeals of the people in front of you! It was quite disorientating at times especially once field had spread out a bit.We ran/walked as my friends daughters got a bit of a niggle and finished around 1.15 which I had roughly expected. A fun evening , not one for PBs.
Got changed en route home, called in pub to meet a couple of friends and realised slightly too late that drinking wine after running 10k and not eating is probably not my most sensible idea!
Now slowly becoming human again. One more cuppa should do it
